Building Up A Head of STEAM!  Jennifer Jeffries has been in education for 37 years. She has served as a teacher and principal. She served as Superintendent of the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District for 10 years. In 2000 she retired from being superintendent, she joined CSU San Marcos  as a faculty member in the School of Education. Over the last 15 years at CSUSM, she has served as Associate Vice President of Accreditation, Planning and Assessment , Co-Director of the Doctoral program in Educational Leadership, and as an Associate Professor. She also serves as a Board member for Fallbrook Arts Inc. which is sponsoring the STEAM Summer Program.

The Fallbrook School of the Arts is developing a summer program for middle school students that blends science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics - STEAM for short.  In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, this program will give students the opportunity to see the power and beauty of science and math that surrounds our lives, as well as the relationship it has to the arts.
